Happy 2008 to everyone; I think that, as more women become involved in politics in the coming year, we need to plan and work toward a goal.

Colleagues! We have to say "No" to violence against women on 26/11/2007!

I have read with a lot of interest the contributions from Solange, Adamark from Nigeria and Regina Mundi from Cameroon. Some of you mentioned the negative impact the media play on female leaders.

Women fight for everything we believe: for our families, our kids, our believes, and our political differences. We do it with passion, with love and with that miracle "SIX SENSE" we have.

Let's get together to support women to be elected. We are in the year 2007 and still not many women are elected in the world. So we have to do something! We really do.

The upcoming elections to the Constitutional Assembly in Ecuador provoked the desire for real participation of the citizens.

Women all over the world are taking on the unresolved major issues facing humanity -- poverty, hunger, conflict, violence, disease, etc.

I believe one major critical tool of empowerment is training women in media relations as integral part of their development programme.

As a young Malawi professional woman working with the UNDP Country Office, I am privileged to be closely collaborating with the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC).
